Just above it all, in a slim cursive script, sits a custom name, Anna in the piece shown here, placed the way you’d write it on the inside cover of something you meant to keep close.

This is a button-front cardigan built for the stretch of the year when the air turns and every plan involves a porch, a pumpkin patch, or a walk that ends in cider. It reads less as a costume piece and more as something she’d actually reach for on an ordinary Tuesday in October, then again for the school pickup line in November. The buffalo plaid patchwork keeps it grounded, so the ghost and the books and the mushrooms have somewhere quiet to sit instead of competing for attention.

We built the name placement to sit like part of the scene rather than a label stamped over it, so Anna’s name shares the same line of sight as the candle and the pumpkin, close enough to the collar that it’s the first thing you’d notice on a hug. Swap in a different name and the rest of the artwork holds its shape around it, the same ghost, the same stack of books, the same small bow tucked near the shoulder. It’s a piece that works whether the person wearing it collects mushrooms on hikes, keeps a shelf of books by the bed, or just likes the quiet strangeness of a ghost drawn mid-float.

Podluna designed the patchwork panel to read as intentional from a few feet away and reward a closer look up close, where the stitching on the mushroom caps and the candle flame separates itself from the flatter leaf shapes around it. Worn open over a plain top or buttoned to the collar against a chilly walk, the plaid sleeve and the embroidered chest carry the whole season without needing anything printed across the back to finish the thought.
